Alienware M17x R4 gaming laptop: What you need to know

Dell’s Alienware M17x R4 gaming laptop was first leaked several weeks ago. Recently new information emerged. According to this new information, the upcoming Alienware M17x R4 is a 17.4-inch gaming laptop and will have three display options.

The three display options are HD+ (1600×900), Full HD (1920×1080) and Full HD with 3D capabilities. Further the M17x R4 utilize eDP or embedded DisplayPort for its LCD communication.

This gaming laptop, Alienware M17x R4, is said to be powered by Intel’s latest Ivy Bridge processor. It’s graphics processing power will be handled by a discrete AMD Radeon HD 7970M and/or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M/ GTX 675M mobile graphics processor.

The Alienware M17x R4 will have two color schemes namely red and black. A very fitting color for a gaming laptop. For now, these are the only details that we know. Most probably this gaming laptop will be fully unveiled or released this coming Q2 of 2012.
