Final Fantasy XIV Official Benchmark

Square Enix is developing the new Final Fantasy XIV which will be an online game. But this online game is reported to be a “demanding” game in terms of system performance and specifications. First let me fill you in about Final Fantasy XIV.

Final Fantasy XIV (ファイナルファンタジーXIV, Fainaru Fantajī XIV), or Final Fantasy XIV Online, is the fourteenth installment in the Final Fantasy series. This will be released in September 2010 for Microsoft Windows and it will be released on March 31, 2011 for PlayStation 3. The game is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game and is developed and published by Square Enix. The game takes place in a land called Hydaelyn, mainly in a region named Eorzea, which will have a contemporaneously aesthetic blend of science fiction and classic fantasy elements.

[4500-5499] High Performance
Easily capable of running the game. Should perform well, even at higher resolutions.

[3000-4499] Fairly High Performance
Capable of running the game on default settings. Consider switching to a higher resolution depending on performance.

[2500-2999] Standard Performance
Capable of running the game on default settings.

[2000-2499] Slightly Low Performance
Capable of running the game, but may experience some slowdown. Adjust settings to improve performance.

[1500-1999] Low Performance
Capable of running the game, but will experience considerable slowdown. Adjusting settings is unlikely to improve performance.

[Under 1500] Insufficient Performance
Does not meet specifications for running the game.
