          • http://whatswithjeff.com jeff

Yes, perhaps the version of your unit or OS is causing the problem. the root might not be compatible with your device. I suggest you visit xda forum for the appropriate root. good luck!

    • http://whatswithjeff.com jeff

Please use CWM or ClockWorkMod recovery, and not the default Android recovery to fix this.

  • Barry

Does not root for android 4.1.2 and build number xxucma5. Boot into CWM select CWM-SuperSU-v0.94.zip goes through the motion without any problems. Reboot then a just before the device finishes booting a message appears updating apps. No SU access tested with Root checker and Avast Anti-theft installer rooted. Prior to the latest 8010 firmware update ma5 device was rooted. Tried this method and cf-auto both fail.

If you want to enter CWM recovery the easiest way just download terminal emulator from the play store. Open terminal emulator and type su, then press enter. This will tell terminal that you want su root access. Next type reboot recovery and press enter. The tablet will reboot to CWM recovery.
