While the Samsung Galaxy S3 has been in the market for quite some time, Apple has recently announced its “next big thing” phone, the iPhone 5. As we all know, Apple and Samsung is on war right now. Their trying to prove to the people which one is the best, iPhone 5 or Samsung Galaxy S3. Recent Ads from Samsung mocks the iPhone 5, claiming that it’s an inferior phone and is somewhat behind when it comes to the advancement of smartphones. Today let’s take a look at the iPhone 5 vs Samsung Galaxy S3 Drop Test done by Android Authority to see which is the more durable phone. Which is more durable, the phone created by a genius or the phone made of “cheap plastic”?

As you can see above, the iPhone 5 is the clear winner. The strong aluminum metal frame of the iPhone 5 prevented it from sustaining heavy damage. The plastic body of the Samsung Galaxy S3 got easily damaged.

Most people would tend to accidentally drop their phones 4 feet and below. The iPhone 5 suffered from a few dents and scratches, but it’s still working 100% and did not sustain any cracks on its glass display.

While the Samsung Galaxy S3′s display partially suffered from a drop above 4 feet. And beyond 5 feet, the phone’s back cover what separated from its body. Sometimes, in some instances the battery or the sdcard is ejected from a drop this high.

I think the iPhone 5 is the most durable phone Apple has ever made. But it’s not all invincible. If you throw the iPhone 5 or drop it from above 6 feet, the glass display will eventually break. I saw that from another iPhone 5 drop test video.

The iPhone 5 proves to be the more durable phone compared to the Galaxy S3. But this does not conclude the the iPhone 5 is superior compared to the S3. The main factor we should look into is their respective features and specifications. Which one do you like best?
