The Western Digital My Book VelociRaptor Duo features two 1TB WD Velociraptor hard drives with an SSD-speed like of 10,000 RPM, combined with two Thunderbolt ports perfect for software and applications that demands high read and write speeds, at the same time offering a large storage capacity. This type of setup is perfect for editing high resolution videos, 3D rendering, editing and rendering large sized images and other media applications that demands speed.

The My Book VelociRaptor Duo also features RAID 0 for performance that increases the productivity of a drive, and RAID 1 for protection that creates a mirror or a duplicate of the other drive. You can also set the drives to JBOD (Just a Bunch Of Disks) to use as two individual drives and select between HFS+J or exFAT per disk. Ideal for running Windows OS on a Mac.
With the two Thunderbolt ports, you can daisy chain the My Book VelociRaptor Duo with different Thunderbolt-supported devices without impacting data transfer speeds or performance. It also comes with a Thunderbolt cable in the box.
