Alcatel has released another Android phone that offers more functionality (compared to their entry level phones) at an affordable price, the Alcatel One Touch 993D Insight. The One Touch Insight 993D features a 4 inch WVGA screen display and runs on Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box.
The Alcatel One Touch 993D Insight is powered by a 1GHz processor for a better browsing and smooth liquid experience while using the phone. The phone is built with a .33mm touch lens for a smoother navigation. The Insight 993D also features DLNA or Digital Living Network Alliance that enables you to share multimedia files over platforms. Of course, it has WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity functions as well.
The Alcatel One Touch 993D Insight has a 5 megapixel rear facing camera, with autofucos lens and a LED flash. It has a VGA front facing camera as well, for video calls. This phone has dual SIM functionality for those who are multi-network users, as well as WiFi hostpot feature.
The Alcatel One Touch 993D price is only Php 9,990 (SRP). This is not an entry level smartphone, instead it’s a mainstream or mid-level smartphone. If you check the price of other smartphones, I think the One Touch 993D will compete against the Galaxy Ace, Galaxy S, Galaxy W and other smartphones in the Php 9,000 to 11,000 price range.
