Cherry Mobile and MyPhone are the two biggest local brands competing locally for Android domination. MyPhone has released their flagship, the A919i Duo. But Cherry Mobile has yet to release their Quad Core Android Jelly Bean flagship. They blurred the name of the phone but it clearly starts with the letter “S”. So most probably CM’s quad core flagship will be the Cherry Mobile Skyfire 2.0. Who will win the Android war in Ph? Cherry Mobile Skyfire 2.0 vs MyPhone A919i Duo, read more below.
Cherry Mobile Skyfire 2.0 vs MyPhone A919i Duo
We all know now that the MyPhone A919i Duo is a Android smartphone powered by a 1.2GHz quad core processor, runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2, has an 8 megapixel rear facing camera, and a nice 5-inch IPS capacitive display with 720p resolution. That’s very attractive for a price of only 9,950 SRP.
But the Cherry Mobile Skyfire 2.0 is still a mystery. There are rumors that the Skyfire 2.0 is a rebrand of the Karbonn S5 Titanium that sports a 5-inch IPS display at 540×960 pixel resolution, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 8 Megapixel rear camera, and is also powered by a 1.2GHz Quad Core processor.
Or the CM Skyfire 2.0 might be a rebrand of i-mobile IQ5.1, that also sports a quad core processor and a 5.3-inch display. But I think the Skyfire 2.0 is a rebrand of the Karbonn S5 Titanium because the shape of the phone closely matches the teaser poster, as well as the dedicated button (options, home and back button). Besides the IQ5.1 looks more of an O+ 8.15 Android phone.
Either way, I think the A919i Duo is much better than the Skyfire 2.0 if it is really a rebrand of the S5 Titanium. The MyPhone A919i Duo is a rebrand of Micromax A116 Canvas HD, and it has a much better display than the other phones.
The only thing that will make Cherry Mobile’s Skyfire 2.0 a winner vs MyPhone A919i Duo is that they would lower its price or its totally a different rebranded phone with better specs.
Anyway I’ll update this post once the Cherry Mobile Skyfire 2.0 is officially unveiled. Stay tune!
