Cooler Master, a leader in thermal solution, chassis maker, peripheral and accessory manufacturer, has recently unleashed its latest line up of liquid cooling solution for the CPU, the Cooler Master Seidon 120XL and Seidon 240M. These two liquid cooling solutions aim to provide a better cooling solution compared to your typical air cooling, and is designed for overclocking. Check out more details below.
Cooler Master Seidon 120XL
The CM Seidon 120XL is a maintenance free compact water cooling kit that comes with a 38mm thick by 120mm radiator and a double 120mm PWM fan. It’s water block is made up of copper with Ultra Fine Micro channels for better heat transfer. The tubing is made out of FEB tubing, that looks like a ribbed tubing.
It has a durable ceramic bearing to provide durable and long life to the pump of the cooler. It’s very easy to install, similar to a plug and play setup and is maintenance free. The Cooler Master 120XL was designed with overclocking in mind. But this might not be enough for heavy overclocking. Instead, your better off with its big brother, the Seidon 240M.
The Cooler Master Seidon 120XL is compatible with Intel socket 2011, 1366, 1156 1155, 775 and even the upcoming 1150. It’s also compatible with AMD socket FM2, FM1, AM3+, AM3, AM2+ and AM2. Fan size is 120mm x 120mm while the radiator is 150mm x 120mm.
Cooler Master Seidon 240M
The CM Seidon 240M is pretty much similar with its little brother, 120XL. It’s also build with the same FEP Tubing, Ceramic Bearing, Ultra-Fine Micro Channels and maintenance free setup. But the Seidon 240M comes with a performance 240mm radiator that could handle high overclocking setup.
The 240mm radiator could handle high wattage overclocking that the Seidon 120XL might not be able to handle. It also comes with two 120mm fans to cool the radiator. The Seidon 240M is fully compatible with the different Intel and AMD sockets just like the 120XL.
The Cooler Master Seidon 120XL and Seidon 240M is expected to compete with the current leading water cooling solution, the Corsair H100i and H80i. Can’t wait to test these new CPU coolers, and see who performs better.
Price and Availability
The Seidon 120M is priced at around $60+ USD while the 240M is priced at around $90++ USD. Both of them are already available now in the market.
