Mortal Kombat 9 (a.k.a. Mortal Kombat 2011) is a continuation in the Mortal Kombat series developed by NetherRealm Studios.
“The story begins after the events of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, but then returns to the period in which the first three games – Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat II, and Mortal Kombat 3 – occur. Due to a plot twist (the character Raiden now having knowledge of the future), the events of this time are slightly altered.”
In Mortal Kombat 9, the characters are more alive looking and realistic. The creators of Mortal Kombat 9 also added a new interesting features like the brutal X-Ray Moves where the internals of the character being beaten up are seen.
