Samsung has officially introduced the Samsung Galaxy NX, a mirrorless camera with 20 megapixel sensor, interchangeable lenses capability (similar to a DSLR), and runs on Android operating system. While both the Samsung Galaxy Camera and the latest Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom are considered as point and shoot cameras designed for those who likes to take photos everywhere they go, the Samsung Galaxy NX is geared towards serious photographers and photo enthusiast who needs more than just a point-and-shoot camera.
The Samsung Galaxy NX is the first 3G/4G LTE Connected Compact System Camera (CSC) and is powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean Operating system. With the combination of both technologies, this allows photographers to easily share their photos to their friends, online community, forums or in social networking sites.
It has a 20.3 megapixel APS-C sensor paired with DRIMe IV Image Signal Processor that produces brights and detailed images even in low light conditions or when you need a fast and accurate camera. You could safely say that the Galaxy NX, produces much better photos compared to the Galaxy Camera and Galaxy S4 Zoom.
The Samsung Galaxy NX is also built with Advanced Hybrid Auto Focus System, and is capable of 1/6000 sec shutter speed and 8.6 frames per second shooting speed. This helps the photographer to capture crisp and vibrant shots and even fast moving objects.
Unlike the Galaxy Camera and S4 Zoom, the Samsung Galaxy NX features an Interchangeable Lenses, giving photographers versatility and more room for creativity just like using a DSLR camera. You can use ultra wide fisheye lenses, pancake lenses, zoom lenses and even longer prime lenses.
Of course, the Samsung Galaxy NX can also shoot videos. Samsung included a True 3D Creator that brings an added element of realism to the GALAXY NX results, allowing users to shoot images and movies in 3D with Samsung’s 45mm 2D/3D lens.
Under its hood, the Samsung Galaxy NX is powered by a 1.6GHz Exynos Quad Core processor, paired with 2GB of RAM and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. The list of features and specifications of the Galaxy NX doesn’t end here. Check out the specification sheet for more details.
