Samsung Galaxy S III could have a Quad Core Exynos 4412 CPU
Samsung Galaxy S III, although still not officially announced, is expected to be released by next year, 2012. Samsung Galaxy S3’s specifications and features are still unknown. A couple of days or weeks ago, rumors came out that HTC Edge will have Tegra 3 Quad Core processor built in it, and I’m pretty sure Samsung will not allow it to be left behind.
Rumors has it that Samsung Galaxy S III will be equip with Exynos 4412 CPU, which is a 32nm Quad-Core processor design with ARM Cortex-A9 cores running at 1.5GHz. According to some rumors, Samsung has also new set of line up this coming 2012 which are even better than Samsung Galaxy S 2 and Galaxy Nexus. 2011 was the year of the Dual core powered smartphones. I’m pretty sure 2012 would be the time for quad core processors for smartphones and tablets.
Although, there are some rumors saying that the Samsung Galaxy S III will not feature a quad core processor. Instead it will feature a newer version of Exynos Dual Core processor. According to them, the Galaxy S 3 will feature the newer dual-core 1.5GHz Exynos 4212 processor.
Samsung Galaxy S III specifications, price or features are still unknown. Even the looks of the phone itself remains unknown.
