Director Satoshi Kon passed away last August 24 2010. He died of pancreatic cancer. His death was a shock to the anime world; just a few months shy of his 47th birthday, Kon was widely considered to be at the top of his game as a director.

He was behind the successful and impressive Anime known to us namely Perfect Blue, Millennium Actress, Tokyo Godfathers, Paranoia Agent, and Paprika. Unfortunately his last and final production, The Dream Machine, was not finished.
