WD My Book AV-TV External Hard Drive: Dedicated Storage for Recordable TV

Western Digital, a leader in storage solutions, has recently released WD My Book AV-TV External Hard Drive. This is basically a “DVR Expander” that lets the user instantly enable TV recording features to store and playback hundreds of hours of entertainment. This can be done by simply connecting the WD My Book AV-TV directly to a compatible TV.

With the new MyBook AV-TV, users who are watching live TV while the device is connected can rewind, pause or fast-forward afterwards, providing control over live TV at his convenience.

The My Book AV-TV has built-in recording capability and comes in 1TB or 2TB sizes, that provides enough storage space for standard or HD entertainment. The My Book AV-TV features WD GreenPower Technology consuming less power, while the drives inside are specifically optimized for audio/video, optimizing the customer’s experience with smooth video playback or recorded content.

The My Book AV-TV makes use of the USB 3.0 connectivity, providing fast transfer speeds that can handle multiple HD streaming for simultaneous recording and playback, specially for users who have a dual-tuner TV. This can also allow a user to record at TV program while watching a different channel at the same time.

Just like most of WD’ My Book drives, the AV-TV can be stand upright or lay horizontally, which ever the user would prefer. Lastly, it is compatible with major TV brands such as Panasonic, Toshiba, Sharp, Sony, LG, Orion, Mitsubishi and Hitachi.
