Unlike the previous CM Storm gaming headset, this is the first modular headset that features a durable aluminum plates that can be removed and customized, paired with a stylish white-LED lighting. This allows the gamers/users to rebrand the CM Storm Pulse-R, and represent the team during events and eSports. Honestly, it’s not the best looking gaming headset out there, in fact others might dislike its design, but the CM Storm Pulse-R is built with custom 42mm drivers capable of delivering amazing sound quality with an extended low frequency response for deep bass. The removable laser-etched aluminum ear plates can be customized to represent your team specially during eSports.
The CM Storm Pulse-R also features a detachable noise-cancelling microphone making sure that your teammates can hear your voice loud and clear. The tip of the mouthpiece lights on when giving commands. The microphone is uni-directional just like with the CM Storm Sirus 5.1/S. There also an in-line volume and microphone control so that you can easily adjust the volume or even mute the microphone easily, and on the fly.
But the CM Storm Pulse-R doesn’t have a multi-channel speaker (5.1 or 7.1). It’s just plain stereo with great sound, similar with the ultra lightweight CM Storm Ceres-400.
