AMD Unleashed Radeon HD 6990M World’s Fastest Mobile GPU

AMD Radeon HD 6990M Is the NEw World’s Fastest Mobile GPU

A few weeks ago, I posted an article regarding the GTX 580M fastest Notebook GPU. Now AMD is unleashing their “World’s Fastest Mobile GPU” the Radeon HD 6990M, taking the title away from NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580M in just a matter of few weeks.

clevo gaming notebookAMD Radeon HD 6990M is designed to deliver high-end, ultra fast performance that could meet the very needs of a mobile enthusiast gamer. Hardcore mobile gamers can experience additional gaming performance through AMD CrossFireX technology which is present in HD 6990M.

AMD Radeon HD 6990M is built with full Barts Core with 1120 Stream Processors and 56 TMU enabled with Clock Speed reaching up to 715MHz. The HD 6990M also features 2GB GDDR5.
See the Radeon HD 6990M specs below.

According to AMD the Radeon HD 6990M benchmark shows that it is faster then GeForce GTX 580M by 10% to 25%. Although it’s kinda bias because AMD is the one who conducted the benchmark. We’ll have to wait for enthusiasts to properly benchmark this GPU. Until then, we could not fully conclude who will win the title “World’s Fastest Notebook GPU“. This is a battle between GeForce GTX 580M vs. Radeon HD 6990M.

The AMD Radeon HD 6990M GPU will soon be installed in Gaming Notebooks/Laptops like Alienware, Eurocom and Clevo.
