AMD Radeon HD 7000 series graphics card prices revealed

The upcoming AMD Radeon HD 7000 series graphics card prices were leaked by DonanimHaber. The price list reveals prices from the upcoming Radeon HD 7650 to it’s flagship, the Radeon HD 7990 which is a dual GPU graphics card.

The AMD Radeon HD 7000 series graphics card are based on Tahiti chips but some models will use the GCN architecture, while others other might be based on VLIW-4.

The Tahiti chips features 384bit memory interface with a 3GB GDDR5 memory. It is expected to support the upcoming Windows 8’s DirectX 11.1.

First let’s start with the entry level HD 7600 up to it’s flagship. The mainstream for this series will be HD 7650 and HD 7670. Both of them will be priced around $119 and $179 respectively.

Followed by the more popular series, the HD 7800 series. The AMD Radeon HD 7850 is priced at around $199 while the AMD Radeon HD 7870 is expected to be around $299.

Next are the high end and flagship level of the HD 7000 series. The AMD Radeon HD 7950 is priced at around $399. Followed by the fastest single GPU, the AMD Radeon HD 7970 which is priced at around $499. The HD 7970 is expected to surpass the performance of the GTX 580 but not as fast as HD6990 and GTX 590.

AMD’s flagship for this series is the AMD Radeon HD 7990, a dual GPU processor, based on 2 Tahiti chips is expected to be priced above $700.

These prices are just leaked preliminary pricing. They might change when the graphics card will be officially introduced at the CeBIT 2012.
