Cherry Mobile W500 Titan and Flare: Two Cheap Dual SIM Smartphones

Aside from Samsung or Alcatel Android Phones, Cherry Mobile Android phones are one of the most popular and cheaper alternative phones available in the market today. Just recently, Cherry Mobile released another two android phones, the Cherry Mobile W500 Titan and Cherry Mobile Flare. Both phones target people who wants a bigger display but at a much affordable price.

Cherry Mobile W500 Titan

The Cherry Mobile W500 Titan sports a big 5-inch display at 800×480 resolution. The phone is powered by a 1GHz MediaTek MT6577 dual core processor and a 5 megapixel rear facing camera. It runs on Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box. The Titan is a cheap alternative to “phalets” like the Galaxy Note or the Galaxy S III. It’s a dual SIM phone, a feature that many Filipinos are looking for.

However, don’t expect too much that it will have the same quality as the high end ones. Remember this is a cheap alternative, so its expected that some of the specs are sacrificed to make it affordable.

The Cherry Mobile Titan price is only Php 6,499 (SRP) and will be available starting November. Below is a complete specs of the phone.

Cherry Mobile Flare

Another cheaper Android solution is the 4-inch Cherry Mobile Flare. It features an IPS display, powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, Adreno 203 for its GPU, a 5 megapixel rear facing camera and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box. It’s also a dual SIM phone like the Titan.

The Cherry Mobile Flare price is only Php3,999 and will also be available starting November.

The Titan and Flare’s specifications might be good enough for you, for a really low price. But I suggest you visit a local store first and see it for yourself before buying one.

    so why flare is cheaper than TITANS while features are almost the same, matter fact, flare is dual core with 1.2GHz snapdragon. I like titan and I will buy one actually this nov 7 at sm megamall exhibit, it made me undecided and confused now. Is it only the screen that make titan expensive compare to flare or there are more? please advise asap.

    the titan is much expensive since it use a a cortex 9 processor while flare uses only a cortex 5… you will not see the difference in performance unless you’ll be using benchmark apps.

      been looking since november nag order na ako main branch ng cherry mobile located in Robinson but until now wala pa rin daw available and it’s limited pa ung Titan.

      sigh.

      still hoping this Dec mag rerelease na cla ng Titan.
      I’d try also in other branches like nexus telecom and QSL but still they have no stock of Titan..|

    I just bought titan lastnight. its reli cool and pretty! nakipag agawan pa ako sa centrio ayala as it is the only unit left. no issues,super classy and glossy.         mary alforque’s email address is maryalforque969@yahoo.com. she used that in sending me by email a supposedly copy of the receipt of the titan that she purchased in cagayan de oro last 15 December and also the warranty card.

      WHAT? we can trace her ip address. but I doubt if she/he is using a real one.
      what other information did you get during your transaction?
      Or trace the cellphone number that she use. Be very careful of scammers. There are tons out there specially xmas season.

    Titan is good naman eh. Parang quad core na ung ginagamit mo. Feels like or most of the new samsung galaxy note 2. Yung capacitive touchscreen is okay lang. parang ips na rin sya kasi may 3 color modes sya. super affordable pa. like it,

    Hello po. Ahmm. Medyo nahihiya ako sa inyo. First time ko lang kasi magtanung sa website na to. hihi..

    Kwentuhan ko po muna kayu. january 6 na po ngayun.. College na po ako, sa isang university na mababa ang tuition 12/unit. IT po course ko, Medyo naiingit po kasi ako sa mga klasmeyt ko kasi halos lahat po sila may mga bagong laptop. Since hindi ko naman po afford yun nag pasya po ako na bumili ng cellphone basta po makakatulong sa pag-aaral.

    Since IT po ako. Kailangan ko po ng san damakmak na libro. Pero ang naisip ko pong solution eh mag download na lang ng PDF. Mahilig din po ako sa games, lalo na yung mga HD games like 2k13, DEad trigger at kung anu anu pa.. Blogger din po ako. Medyo marami rami rin po akong followers sa tumblr yung mga post ko po sa tumblr mga picture po, mga inspiring pictures po na nakikita sa kalsada. Gamit ko po dun LGCU720(Maganda po at malinaw yung cam nito). Mahilig din po ako sa Movies at nabalitaan ko po na ito pong Flare ay Hindi po IPS.

    Medyo nalilito rin po ako kung TITAN po or Flare bibilin ko. O antayin ko po si OMEGA. My budget si 7k.

    So eto po tanung ko. :

    #1. Sir, Anu po mas Ideal para po estudyante Flare or Titan?
    (Like editing po ng Thesis using openoffice, reading book, doing some research)

    #2. Sir, kaya po irun ng Flare yung mga high end games na sinabi ko? saan po mas maganda yung output sa titan po or sa flare.

    #3. Sir, bilang isang blogger, pde po ba yung cam ng flare for capturing beautiful scenery. Anu po mas prefer nyo po titan or flare?

    #4. Sir, Aantayin ko pa po ba si OMEGA, or pwede na si TITAN or Flare?

    #5. Sir, Mas tataas ba ang productivity ko sir. kung titan ang bibilin ko dahil mas malaki ang Screen nito or Flare.

    Sir. 7k po yung budget ko. Sobrang hirap po talaga. Kasi ito pong 7k na ito hanggang march pa po dapat, pero mang hihingi nalang po ako ulet ng pera. 14 pesos lang naman nagagastos ko sa isang araw. Thesis writing at defense na po kami plus pa po yung software at web development so Sa tingin nyo po na about time na po para mag invest ng cellphone para pag aaral..

      1. bigger screen means better. honestly for a student a netbook or laptop is ideal.
      2. i’m not sure and i don’t think so. games like dead trigger requires tegra 2 or 3 GPU
      3. both of them have same megapixel. and i’m not sure about the quality of their photos either.
      4. wait for omega. i heard it’s better only 7,999
      5. productivity will depend on how fast you are. bigger screen will help you. but if you want more productivity go for a tablet or netbook/laptop

      you don’t have to buy now if you are on a tight budget. during my college days when smartphones were not yet available, there are internet cafes. there are many ways on how you can pass your course even without a smartphone. just be wise and make “diskarte”.

      I bought titan and flare…. here’s the catch flare is bigger the flare pero ang flare bukod sa 1.2 ang processor nito mas maganda’malinaw at detalyado ang subject mo…… ibig sabihin mas mukhang nagsasabi ng tapat ang flare na 5 mp sya kesa sa camera ng titan…. I’m using my flare ans my titan at the same tym para maikumpara ko sila si flare ay smooth ang transition ng mga icons kahit. Gamitanmo ng neonthemes gamit ang go launcher si titan naman malabo sya at parang may ghost image na naiiwan sa bawat transition……. so camera; resolution at bilis flare ang maganda…….. savideo d lag. Ang flare unlike my titan….. and I’m using ebook apps fron google store at mas maganda resolution ng flare

    it says flare has 4gb internal memory., but I checked the storage at my settings and it only has 2.56gb memory.., wth?!

      4GB is the unused size of the storage. But since the Android OS and other apps are also installed in the internal memory you only get 2GB++. That is true to any smartphone. A 16GB Galaxy Note or S3 has only 10GB left for users to use.

    Hi po… Sir ask ko lang po ano po ba mas maganda ung CM Flare po ba o ung CM candy TV? Kasi po dun sa flare may nabasa po ako na review about flare na madali daw pong maubos ung battery life niya, hindi daw po maganda ung sound quality, mahirap din daw po magtext dahil daw po sa 2 point touch kaya kapag pinindot mo ung dalawang letra na magkatabi mababasa niya lang ito as one,at tsaka ung back cover daw po ng flare hindi daw po maganda.. So nagdadalawang isip po ako kung ano po ung pipiliin ko po. Sa CM Candy TV naman po, wala pa naman po akong nababasa na mga di magandang features po nito. Yun po.Ano po bang dapat kong piliin? Totoo po ba ung mga comments about flare?
